SMFTS now uses SIRT (Shot Indicating Resetting Trigger)
Pistols to support teaching sight alignment and sight picture, trigger
control and follow-through. This is a new product that made its debut
at the 2010 Shot Show. We have used it now in several classes and
also to support individual training. It works. It works really well.
It eases the task of communication by providing clear and instant
feedback that is visible to the student and the instructor. It also
saves time and ammunition. To get an idea of how instructors can use
SIRT Pistols to enhance the learning experience for new shooters check
out the tenth video on the Next Level Training website.
The
only SIRT Pistol available to the training community now is the Glock
17/22. SMFTS has purchased two of these devices and will purchase other
models as they are made available.
